The Role

We’re looking for a Cleaning Manager to lead our cleaning operations at a prestigious London location. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager who thrives on delivering high standards, managing people, and driving operational excellence.

As Cleaning Manager, you will:

Lead and manage the cleaning team to deliver services in line with client agreements and Compass Group standards.

Drive a strong Health & Safety culture, ensuring compliance with all legislation and company procedures, including COSHH.

Manage budgets for labour, equipment, and resources to achieve commercial targets.

Continuously improve service delivery across Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety metrics.

Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure the right skills and performance standards are met.

Conduct regular 1-2-1s and lead by example to motivate and engage your team.

Build strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to enhance service and reputation.

Manage third-party suppliers (e.g., waste, pest control) to meet SLAs.

Work flexibly and attend off-site meetings or training as required.

About You

Essential:

Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation (including COSHH).

Excellent people management skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

Strong numerical and written skills, IT literate.

Flexible approach to work.

Desirable:

Previous experience managing a commercial cleaning operation.

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
