More information is available on his medical needs when you apply. ‘Team Thomas’ provides round the clock support, and works like a well-oiled machine and ensures that he receives the highest level of care, support, and therapy input.Overview of role:Thomas benefits from structure and routine throughout the day, he is unable to verbalise his needs, wishes, and wants, so it is vital that his care needs are anticipated; however, he will give you a big smile when he is happy. Thomas is making fantastic progress with his rehabilitation; there will be a lot of therapy input (OT, SaLT, Physiotherapy etc.) which will be implemented daily by his care team. The Support Worker will provide support in all aspects of Thomas’ care (day and waking night), including his complex care medical needs (suctioning, PEG feed). Bespoke training is provided, however, due to his high level of needs, you must have previous experience supporting a young person with epilepsy and seizures and suctioning. We have an opening for an experienced support worker to join the team, providing adhoc support, which includes day and night shifts.
