Your role is instrumental in maintaining our reputation for excellence in parcel delivery and collection services.Key responsibilities include:Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle in strict compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.Execute timely and accurate collections and deliveries, adhering to predetermined schedules and routes.Provide exemplary customer service during all interactions, recognising your role as the primary point of contact for DPD.Assist in the efficient loading and unloading of parcels at the depot, ensuring proper handling and organisation of goods.Manage and complete approximately 50-60 collection and delivery stops per day within the designated area.Utilise provided equipment, such as the sack barrow/hand truck, to safely handle and transport heavier items.Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and any discrepancies or issues encountered during the shift.Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns promptly to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety.Adapt to changing route conditions, traffic, and weather to maintain delivery efficiency and meet deadlines.Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, serving as an ambassador for the DPD brand at all times.QualificationsWhat we’re looking for:To be considered for the role you must have:A valid 7.5T (C1) licence, DQC (Driver Qualification Card) and CPC accreditationWe are also looking for you to demonstrate that you:Recognise the value of providing great customer serviceCan work to deadlines, are flexible and always go above and beyondAre friendly, approachable, positive, resourceful and professionalAre able to multi-task and problem solveAbility to lift, load and carryAdditional InformationAbout our BenefitsWe recognise that our people are at the heart of our business, without them we wouldn’t be able to deliver our award-winning service to millions of customers across the country each day.
